I figured you folks were closer than I am and maybe some of you would know
of this particular group mentioned below.  This was sent to me a long time
ago on another list.  I was just curious if any of you know of this tribe
of Native Americans?  Thanks, Ruth in Maple country





When I was in Anthropology Grad school, one of my good friends was doing
her dissertation based on the traditions of the Shinnecock Native
Americans, near Southampton, Long Island, NY. I went down to visit her
and met many of these beautiful, but unusual, people.
