Hey, Steve:

No problem on the name reference thing!!

Really, I don't mind, because I'm still having issues.

I'll double-check when I get the chance here, but I'm just about 100%
positive that I have Jaws set to use the Windows default sound card. I know
this is what you told me to do a long time ago.

P.S. I should have said this before, but I've basically given up on trying
to get the N3FJP wave files to talk with everything connected. It's been a
bit of a psychological adjustment for me to do without Kimberlee's voice,
but I am sure I'll survive.

Now, we're onto the topic of women again; guess I'd better quit while I'm
ahead here.

Tom,

I think you are using JAWS. Have you set the JAWS options/soundcards
drop down menu to use the pc's default sound card? It solved the
problem for me long ago. No matter what goes on in Windows, or what sound
card Windows decides to call the "default", JAWS will always use
  the pc's sound card.

This has worked on both XP and Windows 7.

BTW, sorry I took your name in vain earlier. I should have just said
"some college professor in Michigan" and nobody would have known who it was.

73, Steve KW3A.
