Hi;
I had a flash of insight and figured how to attach the handle to the base  plate and to how to attach the radio itself to the base plate.  I still can't figure out how the control head is connected.  There is a bracket that screws to the front of the plate and the control head should attach to it but haven't figured out how.

  handle is the tipical Kenwood handle held on by two screws on one side 
  of that large base plate.
