Thanks, Ron.

We will give this a try.

Interestingly, my license was renewed in April of 2014, right before they
stopped mailing print copies of licenses. But my son and XYL are now under
the new system, so will have to print out their own copies. This is why we
are trying to learn how to do this now.

Tom, I got my Official Copy that I used to post on Remotehams in the
following manner; while it is pretty much accessible, you might want your
wife to assist you. Here are the steps:

1. Goto the FCC ULS login page at this URL:
https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/licManager/login.jsp

2. Login with your FRN and password. (Press Submit to login)

3. On the physical display, there is a side bar on the left side of the
screen with several links; I'm not sure how it will display on your
particular system.
In any event, there is a link "Download Electronic Authorizations" in that
sidebar. Click on this link. This takes you to the "Download Authorizations
Page."

4. The top of the page has some search options for call sign and dates of
authorization. Ignore these. Below that, there are two tables one on the
left with the various licenses you hold, and one on the right specifying the
licenses you want to download. There is an add and a remove button between
the two. Select your call sign in the left box and click the add button.
(Again, I don't know how this will read out with your particular system).

5. At the bottom of the page are two buttons, a "Back" button and a
"Download" Button. Click Download. The download process begins
automatically. On my system, that means that a window pops up allowing me
to determine what to do with the PDF file I've requested. I think your
Windows system will do basically the same thing. The file that is
downloaded will be the "Official Copy."
