Hi John,
Well People can do what they want.
I still enjoy hf and vhf weak signal work and i also enjoy echolink.
I have ment alot of nice people over seas on echolink and was able to learn 
alot more from them then i would have ever learnd from an hf contact.
I don't care if people brag that's just there thing.
It's not worth getting all hung up on what others do.
It's all here to enjoy and have fun with.
