The yaesu only reads frequency that's it and that's 1 of the radios where
you have to be a rocket scientist to get through the menus I'm quite sure
where as the Kenwood, the menu will speak, the frequency will speak, I'm not
sure if that one the S meter will speak or not but I think so I'll ask my
friend who has that if no one on the list here can let you know the menu on
the Kenwood is not very bad, big but not bad. and the 847s are known for
power button problems unless they fixed it but I know a few people who had
them and the power on/off buttons kept breaking so the radios wouldn't go on
and they had to be fixed every few months, that might have been resolved I
don't know those radios were all sold or 1 was just put away, the guy said
he wouldn't put anyone else through that so it's in his seller.
