Glenn:

It's really bizarre that you can't hear much more than that, unless you 
simply are too far north for the band at this time of year.  But then again, 
I'm not sure you're that much further north than the Michigan stations that 
checked in last week.
  I know too that Pat (K9JAU near Chicago is having the same type of 
problem.

Should get better as the days get longer.

So, hang in there, and keep trying!
