Tom,

Press the volume control of the band you want to transmit on.  Pressing the 
left button lets you transmit on the A band, and the right button lets you 
transmit on band B.  You've probably been using the CTRL function to go 
between the bands, and that won't work.  All that does is let you control 
the receiver on one band or the other, but it does not change the transmit 
capabilities.  It took me quite a while to figure this out, and I don't 
believe it is explained very well (if at all) in the manual.  In any case, 
it took me less time to figure it out than it would have to find it in the 
book.
