I think I burnt out my icom playing on 160. I noticed before that the radio
didn't seem to like those frequencys. Soon as I'd key up the mike, minutes
later all the fans built in to it, even the extra ones I had put in would
work over time Now after using it on 160 for a few days, today the rig won't
even transmit. I have a tuner in line and that's supposed to save the radio
when it sees a bad match so is anything else wrong from what I told you? I
handed the radio to a sighted friend who says it's going to cost me if he
has to take it in. I just handed it over hours ago so I won't find out until
Monday what will happen if he can fix it with out the store, but I figured
I'd run it by you other icom 735 users, that would include the 751 which
predates it as well. They're both essentially the same beast.
