Phil,

I skirted your area last week on both weekends. I was en route to KCK and stayed on 84 in Nebraska going and came back on 96 to Tribune and than north to Julesberg and again west to Boise. the fm was incredible but repeaters were all a bust as I did not have a current list nor did I hear much In the Kansas City area on six or otherwise. I did pick up an OPEK 144/440 antenna for the vx5 but the flattland repeaters leave a lot to be desire for coverage. I also unfortunately did not have an external mobile antenna. Ah well more justification for the 706. Happy holidays.

thank you!
