I've noticed that some talking book producers, like APH and Talking Book 
Publishing (Or is it publishers), hav higher quality readers than a producer 
who is less known.  I'll bet it's more expensive to use APH or Talking Book 
Publishing to record a book.  I also remember reading somewhere NLS gets 
bids from various producers and they give each producer a certain amount of 
books to record.  If the less-known producers use poorer narrators but offer 
the lowest bids and receive the most contracts, then we listeners suffer the 
consequences of poor quality.
