Tnx Lowell for your info on this. I knew someone on the list had the
AL-80B, but didn't remember who.

I do use the swr tone on the TW-1 to tune my Palstar tuner and am happy
with how easy that process is.

Do you use a cheat sheet and/or tactal markings on the amp controls to get
in the ballpark after band changes, then just fine tune it? Or does each
band change require you to start from scratch?

Maybe an oddly phrased question, but I've never had an amp and am trying to
get a picture of all this in my head. I have read the tune up procedure
in the AL-80b online manual, and could see myself yanking out the few hairs
I have left. But everyone who has responded to my question seems to do
just fine, so maybe my lack of amp experience just has me paranoid.
