I downloaded EchoLink yesterday and reinstalled it on my computer. I had a
nice QSO with John, KD8PC. While it isn't my cup of tea either, I'm for
opening up our net activities to those who are either restricted by housing
or condo rules or who may be in a nursing home or other medical facility.
The more the merrier.

Take care all and very 73.

I agree with Howard on this one. Echo link isn't my cup of tea and I've
only played with it a few times. of course it's not radio, but neither is
this list. Not so long ago all the questions and info floated on this list
would have had to be done over the air.

As Howard said, there are a number of people who for any number of reasons

can't join us on the HF net. It would be nice to hear from a few of
them and put a voice with the call. We have a member of the list from
Bosnia who if I remember right is Gradamir, E73GK. A few months ago he
posted that he had his echo link setup working. I connected with him and
had a nice chat. Not radio, but still enjoyable.
So if something gets set up, I'll try and check in.

73, HNY Steve KW3A
