Well, obviously a lot of people have dropped the ball on this one.  It 
will be interesting to see how it plays out.

For my own part, I have to stop and remember that not everyone is as 
affluent and well wired as they are here in California and other metro 
areas.  There are apparently a lot of people who don't have cable or 
don't choose to for what ever reason.

But the government has opened a real can of worms and at some point is 
going to have to deal with it.

One real issue is that there hasn't been enough serious public 
discussion on all the issues involved.  I'm not talking about just those 
which have arisen in the past few months, but all the issues which have 
come up since the proposal was set out.

I honestly don't look for any audio described tv any time soon at all.
