John,

Good point about the direct connection to a circuit board.  Like you,
I prefer the 8-pin connectors.  I don't fully trust the contacts on
the RJ45s.  From what I heard, the idea was supposed to be that all
RJ45 connectors would be standardized, but I don't know if they really are.
