Tom,

If you want error beeps on 446.850, put your radio in Shift+ mode.  That
will cause the radio to try to transmit on 451.850, which is outside the
band.  If the radio is in simplex, or shift minus, you will not get the
beeps.  By the way, as far as I know, 446.850 is within the band.  Am I
missing something?
