You'll love the f6.  The stock Kenwood battery doesn't have contact for a 
drop in charger.  I think there is a company that makes one, but you also 
have to have their battery.  Actually, the f6 is not a battery hog at 
all, so I'd get the ht first and try it out before you get to worried 
about a second battery.
