Both radios are very good and so it depends on how you use them. If your
working d x pilups and the pile is very strong you will find a bit of
pumping or cross mod with the 2000 and not any that I have noticed with the
590. So it is what your going to do with them as which one to buy. 73

It ahs speech with the VS-3 installed. I use mine heavily daily and love it.
I have it hooked to the computer but never use it that way, I mainly use
that for backing up settings with the free software to save memory settings.
8 years and I still have no complaints on the radio at all.

I am thinking about investing in a ts2000. As a blind person how do you us=
e this radio? Does it have speech? I read that you can control it by a co=
mputer too. How does that work with the computer? Do you hear the radio a=
nd the computer speak at the same time? Just not sure how this all goes to=
gether. My icom 751A has speech but can't be controlled by computer like t=
he newer rigs. Any advice or input is appreciated.
