I wonder if your old folders and links have been disabled?
If you had a dropbox, the installation would have asked if you want to merge
your new dropbox with the old one.
Try putting the file in your public folder, and see if then highlighting the
file and right clicking it brings up the share this link option.

Well, I'm working on sending a dropbox link for my folder containing the
ARRL Antenna Handbook PDF files, but have run into an interesting snag.

 

Here are the instructions from Steve WA1RTB:

 

The simplest way to share a file is to find it in Windows Explorer and
right-click on it to bring up a context menu in which one of the options is
to share a Dropbox link.  This option puts the link to the file onto the
Windows clipboard, and from there you can paste it into an Email message
which you send to me (or anyone else who wants the file).  You don't even
have to go to the Dropbox Website; the link sharing option is handled by the
Dropbox software you've installed on your machine."

 

I went through the process, but the sharing link did not appear on my
windows clipboard.

 

Upon checking things further, I stumbled across a message which said "your
sharing links have been disabled.".

 

This is interesting for two reasons:

 

First, I guess I must have successfully created my account a year or so ago,
despite the fact that I didn't think I did, because I found some old folders
in there that I had intended to share.

 

Second, the ARRL Handbook is now in my folder list, even though there's no
sharing link copied to the windows clipboard.

 

So, the burning question of the evening now for me is:  How to I enable or
re-enable sharing links?

 

I think if I can get an answer to this one, I should be good to go.
