Hi Richard.

Not any more.  The newer versions of Adobe Reader are screen reader aware 
and will configure themselves to work with your screen reader when you run 
it for the first time.  I usually just use all of the default settings when 
it is being configured for screen readers.  Adobe Reader 8 works fine with 
JAWS 9.
