Thanks for your help.  This is tourning to be a more complicated radio
than I had supposed.  I got mine in some strange mode where both volume
and squelch controls were on the same band.  I finally got it out of this
mode, but don't know exactly what I did.  Can some one fill me in.  I
looked in the book and all the copy I have says is press f and then "cont"
to change modes.  I don't know what cont key is.
