Hi.

I think that a good way to view this product is that it is another tool in
the arsonal of tools that we have for gaining access to the web, e-mail, MS
Office products, etc. It works by taking advantage of the underlying
accessibility features of Windows (MSAA etc.), and the programs that supply
a lot of information through this technology like Internet Explorer, MS
Office, Adobe, etc. tend to work very well with this program.

I think that folks need to remember that this product wasn't intended to be
the "be all and end all" of screen readers. It was intended to be very
portable, very small, very easy to learn, and inexpensive, and it does an
outstanding job in all of those areas. Also, the same company has some
nifty remote support tools (RIM and RAM), that while they can amount to a
good chunk of change, allow some spectacular features for the blind
information technology professional. I have talked to the guys doing the
development on these products and they are some pretty sharp guys that I
think are going to develop even more innovative things as these products
mature.
