I was tuning 40 meters around 9 or 10 PM local time a week or so ago when I
came upon two loud signals. These two guys apparently have a weekly
schedule, from what they said, so I listened for awhile. One of the guys
said, "Well, I must be your senior. I've got to be older than you." The
second guy said, "Well, how old are you anyhow?" The first guy who thought
he was the oldest of two said, "Well, I'm going to turn 82 in October." The
second guy laughed and said, "I am older than you because I'll turn 82 this
month." A pair of 82 year old guys, with big amps, and big signals, rag
chewing and having a great time. It sounds like ham radio to me.
