I believe you did get the right one as the part number for that
carrying case sounds correct.

I am getting conflicting reports as to whether or not
the keypad is exposed through a cut out in that case or if it has
a plastic shield that covers the keypad.  Both the Kenwood people
and those at H.R.O. seem to think the keypad is covered by a
plastic shield while people on this list say it is a cut out.  I
don't want it if the keypad is covered by plastic.  73.
