Tom,

I'm not mark. But, if you go into taskbar and folder options, you can set
internet explorer to show on your desktop.

Alternatively, go to programs and find internet explorer. This time, when you
press the applications key, find the sendto submenu and send a shortcut to
your desktop.

Now, when you go back to your desktop, you'll see something that reads
"shortcut to internet explorer". Since every time you send something to the
desktop, it will say shortcut to..... I would rename that.

To rename the shortcut to internet explorer to just internet explorer:

1. Go to your desktop with windows-key D.
2. Find shortcut to internet explorer.

3. Press the f2 key, which is the command to rename a file.

4. Edit out the part that says "shortcut to" so you just have "internet
Explorer".
 5. Press enter to Save.

    Mark:

How do you get to the shortcut icon on the desktop.

I can't seem to make the shortcut I want work in the start menu, so wonder
if I've got it on the desk top, and don't realize it.

Either way, I can't get my alt control I shortcut to work for Internet
Explorer any more.
