Of course there may be a menu somewhere, and hope you find it.

In the method I described, close the program after you save the dummy 
file.  Don't try and cut and paste it.  Instead just click on it and see 
if it opens the program.   As I said, this works in Writelog and the 
program will open with that log file active.

At startup of N3FJP, isn't there any option to choose a previously saved 
contest?   Suppose you were playing in a full weekend contest and shut 
the pc down for some reason or other.  How would you reopen the log you 
had been using?   There must be a way to do this.  I had played with the 
N3FJP stuff a few years ago, but don't remember how it works, and don't 
have it on the system anymore.  Sorry.
BTW, if you are starting at home as KB8TYJ, shouldn't you start fresh at 
the EOC? Or are you starting   from home with the EOC call?
