Thanks for the info John.  That type of cable shouldn't be too hard to find.
I'm trying to figure out what I need to download the latest firmware to my
TMV71A.

The TS-2000 only needs a regular old straight through serial cable, 9 pin 
female on each end. DB9F to DB9F. Not sure on the other radio.
