A very easy and simple anser, kenwood rules.
Kenwood has always made everything, their radios, and software very
acessible.
This goes for not only amateur but commercial rigs.
I own a lot of kenwood commercial gear, no problem.
Yeasu gets an F in accessibility.

Anthony,

As far as I'm concerned, the solution is simple. I buy the rigs I
like, and don't buy the ones I don't. I like the idea of trying to
persuade a company to make their radios more accessible, but I doubt
if we have enough influence to do that. Over the years, companies
have done pretty much what they want without worrying about our
needs. Unfortunately, speech readout has always been regarded as a
neat novelty. We'd have a better chance if we could convince Yaesu
that voice output would benefit mobile operators, but even that is a
long shot.
