Steve, I obviously missed something. Where is the schematic for this little
gadget you built that gives you several additional programmable function
buttons for your TS-2000 or TS-590? I would like to build one myself.

Yes.  Grounding each pin direct gives the regular up and down functions. 
  Grounding each pin through  the resistors gives the PF key functions.

I put 6 switches on my box.  4 go to ground via the resistors, emulating the
extra pf keys, and the other 2 go direct giving the up and down 
functions.    I usually have the menus set on these last 2 to  emulate 
pf keys and use them for quick memory in and quick memory  recall.
