After 20 years in the hobby, I am thinking about getting my first HF amp.
I still haven't settled the age old question of solid state vs. tube amp,
but am wondering how difficult it is to tune up a tube type amp.

I have the LDG TW-1 and wonder if it is any help in tuning up a tube amp?
What exactly is the tune up process?

Anyone used the AL-80B with the optional grid protection circuit?

Am only considering buying new, so any info pro or con on current amps and
their use would be most welcome.

73 and tnx, Steve KW3A
