Hey Tom and all,
As Lloyd said, it was a little confusing due to other nets moving around
because of the SATERN net. I had about 8 check-ins and I know there were
several more that I couldn't hear because I had a terrible line noise. The
ones I could copy were: WA1RTB, N2MHA, KW3A, KA9YIU, W3BEE, KD8FYJ, AND
KD7YBL who I believe heard us and just stopped to say hello. We really
missed our ears from the west coast.
Just to let you know I won't be there this Sunday. I'll be at a friend's
house preparing to watch the NFC championship game. GO SAINTS!!!
So I'll see everyone next Sunday.

Subject: How did the net go yesterday?

Hi, all.

As many of you know, I have been on professional travel the last few days,
and will continue to be pretty much out of circulation due to conference
involvements throughout the coming week.

Nevertheless, I was wondering how yesterday's cross-country cblind ops net
went? I gathered from some list traffic last evening that the net was
small, due to frequency shifts because of the SATERN net on 14.265, but I am

curious as to how all of that got resolved.

My current plan is to be back in the saddle for our next net this coming
Sunday: January 24th at the usual time and frequency, if folks are
interested.

I'll try to monitor the list here as much as possible between conference
sessions and other involvements.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm participating in the American
Meteorological Society (AMS) annual meeting in Atlanta, GA. I'm giving a
presentation today, and am involved with many other activities relating to
the Weather And Society Integrated Studies program I run out at the National

Center For Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO.

Take care, all, and have a good week!
