Not sure what the nomenclature is on that battery, last time I had heard of 
someone sending it to RS for work, , Radioshack charged 40$s to change one 
out/I think it's a solder in cell of some kind but that *May *Not *Be True! 
If you can find the nomenclature of it from the 
manual/Icanworkthisthing.com, maybe batteries america or someone of like ilk 
can crossreference and supply a replacement.  Those Radios Are Still Mighty 
Fine For What They Are and how they do it.  dd.
