Lou,

I believe you get them directly from W2IHY although he may well have
dealers. His first name is Julius or Julian, I can't recall which but I'm
sure he's on qrz.  I've worked him on the air but strangely, he doesn't like
to discuss his products on the air.  As for your second question, it likely
would improve even the 2000.  Everytime I've heard a station using one and
especially when he does the in-out comparrison, the equalizer improves
things.  It's output seems to be smooth and clean and it seems to do an
especially good job of boosting  the upper mid-range frequencies where the
inteligibility is.  Being an old Am-er I'm all for hi-fi audio but I don't
care for this trend of overly basy audio on sideband.
