I think the 706 reads freq, mode, and S-meter.

The TS-2000 is a higher-end rig which covers 160 through 2 meters, plus 70
Cm, with optional coverage for 33 cm. The synthesizer speaks menus, freq,
and can be set up as a menu option to also read the s mater.

Subject: Icom 703 & 706

Hi, Fellow Hams! Does anyone know about the voice synthesizer that goes
with the ICOM 703 and 706 rigs? What readouts do they provide? I'm
thinking of buying one of these radios.

Also, what's the band coverage on the Kenwood TS2000 and what about the
voice synthesizer on that rig? Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao
