Richard,

Depends. The older dishes for KU band were quite large and had a rotator to aim
at the different birds. The little 18-inchers a la Dish Network and DirecTV are
mounted on a small bracket. Mine was mounted near the roof and aimed toward the
southern horizon. I doubt you could mount anything worthwhile on that kind of
bracket.

Subject: satolite dishes

Hello;
This may be much to general a question but I'm wondering if anyone here has
had much experience with tv satellite dishes. My future home has a dish
which will probably go to the scrap pile. I'm wondering how they are
mounted? Are they generally on some kind of a tripod which could be used
for a 2 meter 40 cm antenna?
Richard
