If that's the tuner I'm looking at, it's meant for mobile use mainly so 
you'd need a very very good ground on that thing or it will cause issues. I 
might be looking at the wrong one but if I'm not, I don't know if you can 
even make the ground good enough to use it the way you're trying to.
