Thank you, Harvey for sharing this unfortunate news with the list.

I learned of Tom's illness about a month ago from Jay Doudna, of
Philadelphia.

Tom was one of the first people from this list who I actually worked on the
air. About 3 or 4 years ago, several of us set and made cw schedules on 80
and 15 meters. I remember talking with Tom one night near Christmas for over
an hour on 80 meter cw. It was fun! The last time we talked, I ran into him
one Sunday afternoon on 18 MHZ ssb. That must have been a year or more ago.

Tom was an active amateur with many radio friends. He often worked major
contest with a group of his friends from Pennsylvania, always cw.
