Hey everyone.

I will soon be buying a Kenwood tmv71a and was wondering what I will need to
know to set it up and start using it. I will have the speech board installed
by the store, as I am not so good at such things lol! Is there an easy
users guide out there or would someone that owns it be kind enough to call
me and explain how to use the unit?

I plan on buying the radio, speech board, power supply, and what ever else I
will need to make the unit work as a base station. I already have a diamond
X50 on top of my house with 100 feet of LMR 400 coax that I use with my ht,
so I think it's just a matter of hooking it up, programming it and knowing
how to start using it. I will be getting a battery backup from someone in my
ham club so no worries there.

I will be buying from the ham radio outlet and plan to call them tomorrow.
They can ship it to me and I think anything over $100 ships for free! So
far my only rig has been the good old Wouxun ht. Thanks for any help you can
give.

Soon, I'll be talking with the big boys! And the next thing will be
upgrading to general!
