Hi Shaun, I have a blind ham friend, Jack McSpadden, wa5Rop in Little Rock 
AR, who had a Buddy Stick/same manufacturer, different but similar antenna, 
and indeed seriously considdered buying the Buddy Pole.  Found both to be 
good although pretty "fiddley, and not very blind friendly to use.  He and I 
Have Had _Good Success with the Super Antennas MP1, manual screw driver type 
antenna.  More later, gotta go look at a house, Danny Dyer, Wb4idu.
