I think it's very good.

I live about25 miles outside of Philly.

I have an ihome iPod dock with am/fm.

The ihome a.m. Is more susceptible to electrical interference.
Not to mention the signals are noticeably weaker on a.m.

On Ther hand, with the exception of the digital signals it's about the same.
