I bought three 100 foot runs of RG8X in 08 when I bought a complete new 
stations.  I wasn't planning on running over 1500 watts nor did I need even 
100 foot of line for each antenna.  I use crimp on connecters and they've 
worked fine all these years.  I've seen water get into coax, on the other 
hand, so I'd get something new.
