Jose,

Perhaps a good way to start would be to explain how the code is made up of 
dots and dashes and then explain how hams usually refer to the dots and 
dashes as dits and dahs because that more precisely represents the sound 
they make. Then, you could go through the alphabet, announcing each letter 
and then sending it slowly in morse. That should give them something from 
which to learn the code. As far as hooking up the keyer goes, that's best 
done by someone local to the person in question. Good luck. lou
