Eric,

For a partial reset: Turn radio off, press and hold A/B button and turn 
radio on and then release the A/B button.   If you have the voice chip 
installed, you will get a conformation message.   Without the voice, the 
conformation  will appear on the display.   To go ahead with  the reset, 
press the A/B button again, or any other key to abort.

Full reset is the same process, except you use the A=B button.


Partial reset retains menus, memories, and a few other things.   Full 
reset wipes everything away and returns everything to factory defaults.
