I got my SDR Mini2 dongle for $18 at
www.nooelec.com

The Nooelec support was not helpful at all!, so you'll have to look around
the net and do a lot of reading!

I don't know if any accessible SDR software is available for a Mac, but I'm
not running a Mac here. There is lots of SDR software out there for Linux,
but I've got a lot to learn about Linux before I try that.
