I've been thinking of that possibility and may try it yet.  Where might I

If you can't find an acostic device, those don't work all that well anyway
sometimes, you probably have another audio input on the back of the rig
somewhere.  You could always wire a tt mike or pad in there, and you
wouldn't have to disconnect the Hile.
