That's because with that type of battery, they hold voltage right to the end
and it falls off so fast that a warning wouldn't have time to kick in.
That's how it was explained to me by some one I know in the field, I asked
about it where as with other types of batteries Nicad and the like, the
voltage falls off slowly.
