I am having a random problem with my ts480. I wonder if anybody else
has experiencing this, and if they have found a fix.
Occationally, the rig goes in to transmit. No mike or key need be attached.
It goes out if you tune out of the ham bands, but you can't directly
enter a frequency, or reset the radio, because the transmit locks out
these functions.
I am afraid it needs to go to the repair shop, but I am trying to
avoid that. It will be fine for days, but then it happens again.
I have taken the power plug off the radio, to eliminate any possible
power or connection thing. Turning it off didn't work, disconnecting
the head didn't work, turning off the power supply didn't
work. Disconnecting the mike and paddle didn't work. Disconnecting
the antenna didn't work.
Basically, the radio isn't working.
