Harvey,

That certainly will be the case unless the vehicle has universal appeal.  In 
some ways, the Virginia Tech experiment seems to be somewhat in the realm of 
creating a robot that exactly resembles a human being instead of designing 
it so it could best do the job for which it is intended.
