I never heard of this player, but it certainly could be a good possibility
if Winamp eventually stops working or becomes so out of date that it is no
longer practical to use.

Will keep this info handy for possible future reference.

Yeah, it would sure be a shame for Winamp to go away and not be supported,
since it seems to be one of the few accessible audio file players out there.

Good going, Tom. Just the other day I successfully installed Wimamp 5.660. I
surprised myself because I'm not very good at installing software. I now
know how to fix that problem if I should encounter it. There is a rumor
going around that a couple of groups are interested in buying Winamp. Don't
know if that's true, but let's hope ythat it is. 73. Doug, N6NFF

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have successfully installed Winamp
5.66.



I also un-checked the check for updates box, so hopefully, I won't get that
update window again if something miraculous happens and additional Winamp
updates are offered within the next few weeks.



Thanks to everyone for your help, and I hope others might have benefitted
from this thread as well.
