I think the model is PSR500 not 501 and it's not sold
by RS.  There's lots
of talk about the PSR-500 on strongsignals.net and
RadioReference.com and
when I googled these sites for psr-501 I didn't get
any hits.  You can get
the scanner from Universal Radio or Scanners Unlimited
or I guess any other
dealer of GRE scanners (but not RS).  

I would love to try one but now I live in rual
Martinsburg WV and don't
listen to the scanner as much as I did when I lived
near DC.  So I'll just
stick with the PRO-96.

situation in your area?  Is KDPS still paranoied and
